Daily gif and loving Lily

Describe one habit that brings you joy.

There is a routine in my morning of two things that bring me joy.

The first is the daily 🌄 morning gif that I send to all my loved ones. This is a tradition that I have started in honour of Susanna, who only ever spread ❤️ love and goodwill in this world 🌎.   When Susanna was alive and battling cancer every morning 🌄 I would send her a message showing her how much she was loved and that she was always in my thoughts and prayers 🙏🏽.   I know Susanna loved that greeting 🙏🏽 and it gave her the strength to battle cancer, knowing she was loved and prayed 🙏🏽 for.  So when Susanna passed, I began the tradition of sending all my loved ones a gif every morning 🌄.

The other tradition that brings me joy is that every morning when Lily first gets up, I lie on the couch, and Lily lies on my chest, and I cuddle her and tell her that I love her.  Lily responds by being very affectionate 💋 and cuddles into me like she is a baby.  Even as I write this post, she is right beside me touching me and is very happy and contented.  Even as I send the daily gif, she is right by my side,  the ever faithful companion.  She is a gift from God, and I know God shows that Lily is loved by him, too. I have a lot to be grateful for.

Angels and Spirituality

What are you curious about?

The thing that I am most curious about is the existence of angels and spirituality in general.   I truly do believe in angels. I have sensed their presence gently guiding me, and there has just been too much happen in my life that could not be a coincidence.

There are angels in the bible, and I sense that God sometimes sends angels down to earth in human form to walk amongst us and do Gods work 🙏🏽 here on earth.

I sense that animals can be angels too and that they have their own special angels that watch over them.  Sometimes I sense these angels around Lily and Lily definitely is an angelic presence in my life.

I also intrigued and fascinated by angels 😇  God and heaven thst I have started to write  book about it, a fantasy with my beloved angel 😇 lady Susanna as the protagonist,  as an angelic presence both in heaven and here on earth. It is a book that is a pleasure 🙏🏽 to write ✍️.

Describe yourself to someone who can’t see you

How would you describe yourself to someone who can’t see you?

I would describe myself as a petite woman who is five feet tall with bobbed blonde hair with blue eyes and glasses. I am middle-aged and often get told that I look younger than my age. My favourite colours are green,  purple and pink.  I am Australian.

Typical Monday.

Was today typical?

Yes, today for me is a typical Monday here in Melbourne on a winter 🌄 morning.   I have just taken Lily for a good walk.  It had rained 🌧 overnight, so the ground was moist,  but the air was fresh and crisp.   It is actually a beautiful 🌄 morning.   Rain is predicted later today, but in typical Melbourne fashion, we will experience four seasons in one day.  Lily is blissfully contented after her walk, and I feel energised to start the day.

I hope the westher remains good enough to take Lily for her weekly play date with Becky at Liz’s home 🏡.  It is the highlight of Lily’s week, and it means that we both enjoy Monday. So yes, it is a typical Monday.

Describe yourself to someone

How would you describe yourself to someone?

I would describe myself as a young at heart middle aged lady with blonde hair and blue eyes whom her friends say is a positive force to be reckoned with.   I have a strong faith and an empathic,  compassionate soul.  I choose to see life through a glass half full perspective.

Another chance at life.

As I sit and write today, Lily is right by my side,  where she spends most of her day, as close to me as possible. She is a happy contented 💕 little soul. She means the world to me.  The decision I made to get another dog, was the best decision I ever made in my life. I decided to get Lily as a puppy right when my divorce proceedings were being finalised. It was about 2 or 3 years previously to that that Chloe my first little dog passed away. In getting Lily I knew I was no longer painfully mourning Chloe and it was putting a full stop on my life as an estranged wife and making a very clear statement that I was ready to move on, and give love to and be responsible for the care of something new in my life.

Lily is definitely the best thing that has happened to me in a very long time. She has a strong caring personality and is protective of me, even though she may be nervous or anxious her protective desire is greater than her fear of things,  so she will stand up and stand her ground when she feels that she needs to protect me from something,  normally this happens if a strange male comes too close to me.  Lily will bark and snap as a warning, even though that bark maybe twinged with a little anxiety.   I love her to bits and really feel that God brought Lily into my life, to show I was being given a second chance at life after a horrible divorce. I rarely now think of my marriage,  it is something that is well and truly in the past,  and my life these days is so different to when I was married. My ex husband didn’t approve of my writing,  so I feel blessed now that I can focus on the things I love, and can spend time writing this blog and other forms of writing all whilst Lily lays by my side happy that I don’t leave her for hours on end, anymore, whilst I went out  to work in my mental health career.   To say that Lily thrives now is an understatement.   We both are happy and content and enjoy our quiet life of creativity and contentment.   Having my creative juices flowing and having a peaceful place to write with Lily by my side is my favourite way to live now, and I appreciate the circumstances that have led me to live my life the way I choose to.

Thank you God, you have blessed me with a peaceful loving life.

New Zealand

If you won two free plane tickets, where would you go?

If I won two free plane tickets I would go to New Zealand.  I would begin in the South Island of New Zealand and see Dunedin and Milford  Sound, and visit Sam Neill’s Two Paddocks winery, see Christchurch and Akaroa,  then travel to the North Island through Wellington, Gisborne , Rotarua and also Te Awamutu where the Finn brothers grew up.  I would visit  Kare Kare Beach and Auckland.

The story behind Sparkles

What’s the story behind your nickname?

I know that I have twice before written about my nickname Sparkles.   It is a long standing nickname.   I was first called Sparkles at high school by a friend Karen whose nickname was Possum or Poss  for short.   She called me Sparkles because I was always smiling 😃 and happy.  There was also a famous female clown in Melbourne at the time was called Sparkles.

It is a nickname that could still be relevant to me today because some of my friends think I am a strong, positive, optimistic force to be reckoned with.  So Sparkles, I am.  I think it is in our teenage years that we inherit our nicknames.

No real travel plans at the moment.

What are your future travel plans?

I don’t really have any travel plans at the moment as I plan to move house in the next 12 months or so, so I am saving my money for the cost of moving.

Once I have moved, I would consider planning another cruise, possibly to New Zealand 🇳🇿 again.
