Chicken and Spinach Curry anhttps://www.google.com/adsense/new/u/0/pub-3691500166505297/privacymessagingd Golden Syrup Dumplings

What’s your favorite recipe?

My favourite recipe that I cook for myself is my Indian style Chicken and Spinach Curry out of Gabriel Gates Good  Food Fast. It is delicious and has Ginger, fennel seeds,  garlic chilli, tomatoes πŸ… Spinach and mushrooms.  I make it occasionally when I feel like treating myself and make enough for four meals.

My favourite family recipe would have to  be my mothers Golden Syrup Dumplings.   I have never made them myself, but even when I think of them, it evokes many childhood memories, and I can recall the taste.  It is amazing how taste and smell can be powerful forces that bring back memories.  I love the smell of my kitchen that cooking the curry brings.  It makes me think how much I love the smell of Indian spices and would love to see India to be immersed in that smell.

The little things in life.

Tell us about the last thing you got excited about.

Yesterday was the last time I was really excited by something because I managed to work out the technology of attaching my site to Google Adsense.  I did this totally on my own. Also, yesterday, I spent time with my hairdresser,  who is also one of my closest friends and confidantes.  Anytime I spend with her is wonderful.

I regularly get excited by the small events or achievements in my life. For instance, I have just taken Lily for her morning πŸŒ„ walk, and it is a beautiful morning πŸŒ„ here today. Something to be thankful for.

I guess it is the small things in life that I get the most enjoyment and excited about. It is important to celebrate the little successes in life because they help to make life so much better, positive, and optimistic.

I worked out the next step

Earlier today, I wrote a blog post about being frustrated that I’m not the most tech-savvy person in the world.

Well further to that I worked out the next step and successfully linked my site to Google Adsense .  I took the process in baby steps and googled it when I needed to find out the process of linking both sites using an Android phone.  Yeah I am so happy as I put two and two together and had a successful outcome.

I told my regular readers that I would keep you posted, and now I can give a positive response.  My response to fellow bloggers is to take everything in baby steps and ask google questions when you need answers.  Technology is not beyond me. Life is good.

I don’t know what it is I don’t knowhttps://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-3691500166505297

Today, I thought I would focus on writing ✍️ about my blog. For the past little while, I have been endeavouring to  link my blog to Google Adsense with only a little success. Not being the most tech-savvy person in the world, this is becoming quite challenging.   I’ve literally hit a bit of a snag in the process and don’t know how to proceed further. I don’t know what it is. I don’t know.  I know that I have started the process to monetise the site, but I am lost as to how to proceed further. Have other bloggers found the process challenging because I could really appreciate it if I found out that it isn’t just me who is so technically challenged by technology.   I feel like a bit of an idiot, but I am determined to proceed with it.

I will keep my  readers in the loop as to what happens with this process.  I am just a little lost and confused.  I know I will get past that, but I needed to voice where I’m at for now.

The Assembly

I have just watched the first episode of an amazing new television series, The Assembly.

The Assembly is a program that is available to view on the ABC iview and is about a group of journalism students who all individually are on the autism spectrum.   These students are quite amazing and are all absolutely unique.

Each week episode they get to interview soneone very well known eg Prine Minister Anthony Albanese,  Hamish Blake etc.

The first person they get to interview on the first episode is Sam Neill,  my absolute favourite guru, and it is the most charming,  heart-warming piece of television I have witnessed in a long time.  There is a reason that I say Sam Neill is my guru because he is just absolutely divine and really is so endearing and polite to these students.  It makes for great television, and I, for one, look forward to the following episodes.

Check it out The Assembly on ABC iview.

What motivates me

What motivates you?

There are a few things that motivate me.

My faith is the main thing that motivates me as do my naturally optimistic nature and the love and support of friends and family.  Having faith that everything will turn out well and making small achievements towards my goals definitely keeps me motivated. My daily practice of mindfulness and the attention I give to Lily keeps me optimistic.  Having a glass half full attitude to life definitely helps.

What I enjoy most about writinghttps://www.google.com/adsense/new/u/0/pub-3691500166505297/privacymessaging

What do you enjoy most about writing?

I have loved creativity and the arts since about birth.Β  As soon as I was a toddler, I discovered books, and that began my lifelong love of reading πŸ“š and writing ✍️.Β Β  What I love about it most is the personal fulfilling feeling that putting pen to paper brings. I can express my soul and use my vocabulary to express my creativity in a way that fires my imagination and mentally paints a picture for my readers β™₯️.Β  I loved art at school, but my very favourite thing was when we got to use our reading and writing ✍️ skills by writing stories.Β  I can remember secretly writing my firstΒ  ” novel” when I was about 10 years old.Β  As soon as I discovered books I knew I wanted to write one.Β  Now that life has allowed writing to be my current vocation, I feel the most personally fulfilled in my entire life. That little girl who dreamed of writing books and later dreamed of being a journalist now writes ✍️ a blog and self publishes her other works of writing. My advice to my 10 year old self would be to hold onto that dream because one day it may come true.

I love Melbourne

What do you love about where you live?

I am an Aussie girl through and through.  I live in the State of Victoria in an outer suburb of Melbourne.   I love the history of Melbourne and the beautiful old buildings with grandiose architecture that speak of the wealth in Victoria that the gold rush of the 1850s that brought incredible wealth to Melbourne and country towns like Bendigo and Ballarat.   I love little towns like Woodend and Daylesford and love the beaches, particularly Williamstown,  Barwon Heads, and Ocean Grove.  I love the beauty of the high country.

I love going out for coffee at cafes with friends and am a bit of a foodie and love a good meal with a glass of 🍷 wine. I love Melbourne’s Cafe culture and food scene. I love the charm of Williamstown.

I love the culture and history of my home.  I don’t even mind the weather, although we famously have four seasons in one day here in Melbourne. The people I love the most in the world 🌎 live in Melbourne.  It is home for now and where I hope to stay.   Melbourne is a great place to come from.
