This week marked the launch of the book The World Is Almost At Peace the posthumous work of Rob Hirst, the late great drummer and songwriter from Midnight Oil, Ghostwriters etc.
What I first must comment on is how wonderfully presented, the publication is. It is high quality with beautiful quality printing and sharp quality photos, songwords and anecdotes, probably this was influenced by Rob’s daughter Lexi whom is a publisher by trade.
The book lists chronologically all of rhe songs 🎵 that Rob was responsible for writing and there are literally hundreds of songs 🎵 he wrote. It is quite astounding, the book is very large and includes photos of and anecdotes from the other members of Midnight Oil and Rob’s family and friends. It is quite overwhelming to first look at the book. I would say that it should be read by any music 🎶 🎵 lover, especially those who loved Midnight Oil. It is a remarkable achievement and an awesome inspiring read. Thank God for Rob’s amazing talent and legacy 🙏🏽 🙌 👏 ✨️.
