I woke up this morning not feeling very well and when this happens is when I start to ruminate of the things in my life that I can’t change. A friend of mine was planning to visit today but I knew I was not up for any deep and meaningful discussions,Ā so I politely took a raincheck until next week..
Thank God I have a canine antidepressant called Lily whose very shape and presence šš½ in my life brings me great joy. Lily makes all my days brighter. She stops me ruminating about things I have no control over. I find her company changes my thoughts to be of glass half full, rather than negative and now I am thinking of the many things I have to be grateful for and I begin to count my blessings. I may fall down occasionally but I quickly pick myself up. Tomorrow always comes today and we are all able to start each day with a clean slate to start over again. God has plans for us all, we just need to be open šš½ to experiencing them.
I’m so glad you have a furry Lily in your life, Kaye. I’m proud of you for rescheduling that visit with your friend for another time and I love that you’re trying to focus on what you’re grateful for rather than the suffering you’re going through. My Lily is my tiny 4-year-old niece and like your Lily, she’s an amazing antidepressant and anti-anxiety cure. Little ones are amazing like that.
I’d love to hear more about how you’re doing xx

Thank you Janet for expressing your understanding šš½ and compassion of me. My life now is not what I thought it would be 12 months ago. I got knocked back by the NDIA for supported housing at The Haven and am now waiting on government housing. I feel like all I do now is throw back curve balls. Thank God for Lily. She brings me such joy as do my nieces and nephews who now as adults are amazing people. I cherish my memories of their childhood ā¤ļø š š
