Taking Lily away

Tell us about the last thing you got excited about.

The last thing I got excited about happened a few weeks ago when I took Lily away to a pet friendly motel at Mount Macedon near where I live.

I won’t go into the reasons that led me to decide to take Lily away, suffice to say, something had happened which had the potential to bring on my mental health issues, but I turned it on its head, by deciding to practice self care and to do something wonderful for myself and Lily.

It was the best decision I ever made. Lily has never stayed in a motel before, and it was a cold and frosty night in Mount Macedon. I, however, was warm and snug in the motel room and Lily loved being able to share a big comfy bed with Mummy. This whole trip away was wonderful for Lily and for about a week after the trip she was totally at peace and contented. It really was a fantastic choice I made to take Lily away and I think it has bonded us even more if that is possible.

I am in the process of thinking about where to take Lily next and think I will take her to the beach.

I highly recommend that if something is getting you down, or causing you stress, turn it on its head, by practising self care. Turn negatives into positives and do something nice for yourself and make the bonus added by doing something nice for someone or something you love.

We reap what we sow in this 🌎 world, so give out positivity and reap the good karma of a life well spent.
