Peter is my oldest brother and he in many ways is the brother I am closest to
I am envious of his marriage to Kathy , as they have a great relationship, which my own marriage sadly lacked.
He is a remarkable father and has raised three wonderful young adults, who are equally as gifted as one another, but very individual too.
Peter keeps active, playing golf and has a medical condition called ankalysing spondulitis ( I think that’s how it’d spelt) which meant he had a hip replacement at age 39. He now is 62, and doesn’t seem to be slowly down. Recently he was looking to retire, but was head hunted for the job he now has. He is obviously very well thought of, to be head hunted in such a way.
He is a great brother to me and I trust him implicitly. I look up to him and love attending family functions with his family. I love him dearly and wish only the best for him. He as the eldest of my siblings has earned his status as male head of the family. He is very wise and deserving of credit.
These days my favourite form of physical activity is my daily morning π walk with Lily it fills my lungs with crisp morning air and bonds me even deeper with Lily..
Throughout my life I have been in and out of dance classes. In my life I have done ballet, tap, jazz ballet, ballroom and rock’n’roll, belly dancing and zumba. I haven’t done formal dance classes for well over 10 years and feel my flexibility isn’t what it used to be, when I was regularly attending dance class. However, I do love getting up to dance with my brothers, my nephews and nieces at family functions.
When I was married I regularly attended the circuit gym classes at Curves in Coburg. This was great exercise as the circuit only goes for 30 minutes, easy to fit into a busy lifestyle. When my marriage started to breakdown Curves was great for me as I could work out my frustrations on a piece of gym equipment, and there was a real sense of comerarderie amongst the women of all shapes and sizes who attended Curves , all for the same reasons. Unfortunately there is no Curves in Sunbury, so for the moment my main exercise is to walk Lily. So I make the most of that
Today’s response is very easy. I would not pay to go to the moon. Going to the moon doesn’t interest me. There are more places on earth π I would like to see and experience before I would consider space travel.
I certainly have no recollection of this but man walking on has special significance for me
I was born on the 1st July 1969, three weeks premature at the Queen Victoria hospital here in Melbourne . I spent my first couple of weeks in a humidicrib and the day that I first came home after hospital π₯ was the day that man first walked πΆββοΈ on the moon. My parents always told me that man walked πΆββοΈ on the π moon for me, so therefore that historical event has special significance to me.
There are two things that I am most proud of in my life. The first is my writing, both the blog and books that I have written.
The second thing I am most proud of is my beautiful little dog π Lily. She is the love of my life and we are very bonded. She gives me a reason to get up everyday and fills my life with joyful love β€οΈ π π β£οΈ π π
There are a few things that I have been working on
The first is that I am in the process of having my second book “Dance Of The Emerald Dress π ” self published. All going well that should happen in the next few weeks.
I am also looking forward to Christmas this year and for the past few weeks have been purchasing goodies for Christmas π hampers. I am always organised in that way and look forward to spending time with loved ones over Christmas π time. To this end I am also budgeting well, so I can still manage to save money. To this end I lead a very simple quiet life, and try not to eat takeaway, as it is cheaper to cook simple dishes than it is to eat takeaway. Thank goodness for ALDI as I save money shopping there and they have a good and interesting range of goods.
Something amusing has happened. In my local community I have become known as “the Dog Lady”. I see the humour in it, because of my bond with my own little Lily. It is amazing how many people I have met through walking Lily. A lot of this is because Lily is such a stunning little dog. I am also well known for my little book God Bless Our Dogs “. That is why I am called the dog Lady. My neighbours all loved that book and would like me to write more stories about dogs. I don’t mind, I absolutely love the attention that little book has brought to my life. So the “DOG LADY ” I proudly am.
A good neighbour is someone who is friendly and helpful and practices good hospitality and watches over their neighbours in a way that shows concern, but respectful of privacy. They don’t spread gossip, but are caring and compassionate.
The principles that define how I live are Christian principles that come from my faith in God. I believe that we should do onto others as you would have them do onto you. This guides my daily behaviours in my life. As part of my faith I am a big believer in angels guiding us as messengers of God, and I also am a believer π in Karma. We reap what we sow in this world π and the universe responds in accordance to how we behave. So I always try to do the right thing as the most basic principle thst drives my day to day life.
