COMMUNING WITH GODhttps://www.google.com/adsense/new/u/0/pub-3691500166505297/privacymessaging

Have you ever watched your dog when they are sitting or lying intensely staring into space and wondered what is really going on for them?

It is at this time that I believe they are quietly communing with God in a language they understand and at a frequency that our human ears can’t pick up.

I firmly believe this because dogs are one of Gods crestions of which he is most proud of because of their strong bond and love ❀️ for us humans. More so than any other animal on earth 🌎 God created dogs to be our best friends and companions. I think God talks to them because he loves them for their devotion to us. Somehow I think dogs remain Gods favourite creation and I think he loves them so much because they so rarely disappoint him, unlike us humans , who God is often disappointed in how we behave and display inhumanity to fellow humans from time to time.

Next time you spy your dog intently focused and staring into space quietly just observe and let this happen because I have no doubt that God is just telling them how much he loves them and is praising them for loving us and putting up with our bad behaviour.  Dogs are truly angels and are the natural born leaders in Gods universe. Learn to love and appreciate what they are because they are truly loving and remarkable.

What would I do if I lost all my possessions?

What would you do if you lost all your possessions?

Today’s topic is a daunting one because I think the initial shock 😲 of losing everything would be overwhelming and all encompassing.   It would hurt to lose the things I keep for sentimental reasons,  things given to my by friends like Susanna and family.

I guess the first thing I would do would be go to the Salvos or St Vinnies to replace the most needed items. I then would save money to gradually replace my furniture etc with things that suit my style.  I would treat it as an opportunity to start again in a more minimalist way.   It may hurt losing the items that I am sentimental about, but at least I would have the memories of such, and that is far more important than any material possession.

I am in the process of decluttering my place and giving things to friends 🧑 or the Salvos, or throwing away a lot of the junk I have accumulated over the years. I have kept just about every card or gift that has been given to me over the last thirty odd years, and actually going through it and throwing it away is liberating.   I don’t need the actual card or gift to remember the love with which it was given to me. Perhaps because of my current decluttering losing everything would not be the end of the world for me, rather an opportunity to start afresh with the good memories of the past, but without the neediness of keeping everything over time. It could help me grow as a human to not be so affected by the past,a good opportunity to strive for goals that would have been unattainable clinging to the past.

Feeling out of placehttps://www.google.com/adsense/new/u/0/pub-3691500166505297/privacymessaging

Tell us about a time when you felt out of place.

There has been a few times in my life when I felt out of place, some for various reasons I can’t talk about in the blog, but there was a time when I felt a bit out of place,  but it really was a nice and profound experience.

What I mean about it being good was because it was a lovely time.  It happened when, as a teenager, I was in Fiji πŸ‡«πŸ‡― with my patents on holiday, and the girl on the car rental desk called Sugar invited us to her islander style wedding. My parents and I graciously accepted the invitation.  When we got to this wedding we were the only white people there. We stood out and were the fascination of a lot of Fijian children who were giggling at our white skin and wanted to be close to us. It was good for me as a teenager to experience what it was like to be part of a minority., but in a way where we’re a novelty, but with no negative attention. We were just different but still included in the 🍾 celebrations. It was a profound and formative experience for me, and it has helped shape my views about race and culture.  It was altogether a positive and joyous experience.  There has been other times in my life that I hsve been singled out, in my place of work, but I don’t feel comfortable writing blog posts about it, because of the negative effects of such, but Sugar’s wedding stands out as a time I was out of place,  a novelty  in a positive way. I feel that the whole experience was good for me.

Life without a computer

Your life without a computer: what does it look like?

I take it to be that life without a computer πŸ–₯ would also mean that we wouldn’t have smart phones either because I use my phone for everything.

I think my life without a computer would be messy and disorganised with my writing ✍️ table or desk covered in various notebooks, which I would use for the different forns of writing ✍️ I would do. I would have a collection of different coloured pens and pencils and have art supplies like chalk pastels and watercolour paints near by for if and when I felt like attempting to illustrate my works. I would have a bed for Lily nearby because she really is my little muse and in this age where technology rules she lays next to me whilst I tap away ✍️ writing on my phone.

Not having a mobile phone would be challenging, but I guess we would communicate with our loved ones by landline phone. We wouldn’t have the immediate connection of texts and social media we do now, but maybe a life without social media would be good, brcauae the haters wouldn’t have the voice they now have on Facebook etc. It would mean a return to a slower, more peaceful way of life. Maybe this wouldn’t be such a bad thing in a world gone mad because of technology and social media dominating so much of our lives.

What could I pay more attention tohttps://www.google.com/adsense/new/u/0/pub-3691500166505297/privacymessaging

What details of your life could you pay more attention to?

There is something in my life I could pay more attention to as I age. I guess it is something that happens to a lot of us as we age and that is the weight we put on. As we get older, it becomes harder to lose the weight that we put on.  I have the extra burden of being on medication that puts weight on.  I would love to be able to lose some weight, but don’t beat myself up when I can’t lose weight.  I just do the best I can given my limitations.   If there is one thing that I would change,  if I could, it would be my bodies ability to lose a few kilos. I try to keep active, and it certainly helps me have Lily to keep me walking, but I face a daily battle with my meds, changing my metabolism and putting weight on. Oh well, such is life.

Tomorrow’s priorityhttps://www.google.com/adsense/new/u/0/pub-3691500166505297/privacymessaging

What’s your #1 priority tomorrow?

This is an interesting topic to answer. Tomorrow is Monday here, and I am thinking of the things that I need to prioritise once the weekend is over. There are both administrative and personal things to do. I won’t go into them all. As always, Lily is high on my list of priorities, and tomorrow, I must focus on her and get her out for a walk, given that today is a bit wet and windy.  I normally take her for a playdate on a Monday at Liz’s, and Lily just loves it.

I also have some professional and personal appointments to organise so I stay on top of these and am well organised.

On a more personal note, I hope to progress in my daily writings ✍️ and hopefully, I will have the luxury of some spare time tomorrow to work on this.

Hopefully, I will catch up with some friends 🧑 tomorrow, be that a phone call or actually seeing them.. … Life gets busy going from one appointment to the next so I hope to have some quality πŸ™πŸ½ time tomorrow where I can choose to do something spontaneous which will help me appreciate the journey I am on, rather than trying to reach the destination

I have learned that no matter how organised we are, everything happens in Gods time, and anything worth waiting for takes time, everything in baby steps. Stop and enjoy the view on the way.

Optimism

What’s the trait you value most about yourself?

The trait that I most value about myself is my optimism towards life. My good friend Russell says that I am a strong positive force to be reckoned with.  I try to see the world 🌎 through a glass half full perspective . Certainly, my optimism has got me through some very challenging times and has led to me developing resilience towards life’s challenges.  I think if you think positively throughout life’s challenges, you can manifest good into your life. We reap what we sow, so if you want positive experiences in your life, start with a positive attitude and see how your life changes for the better.  Make life good, face life with a smile, and people will smile πŸ˜ƒ back to you.

Brands I associate withhttps://www.google.com/adsense/new/u/0/pub-3691500166505297/privacymessaging

What brands do you associate with?

I am not big on being a brand ambassador,Β  I live on a limited income and must use my finances wisely.

I guress two brands I support are ALDI and The Body Shop.

I do my weekly shop at ALDI because I save money doing so.Β  I guess that means that I support ALDI.Β Β  They certainly represent good value for money.Β  They have a smaller range, but have good quality in that range.

The other brand I support is The Body Shop.   I love their cruelty free and environmentally responsible stance. Their products are lovely to use, and I particularly love their body butters and lip balms.  They are the makeup products and skin care products that I use. I loudly and proudly support The Body Shop.
