Invent a holiday! Explain how and why everyone should celebrate.
Every since the 1990s, such a thing as Ausmusic Day or Ausmusic week has existed, to promote and celebrate 🍾 Australian Music. It seems to have waned over the past decade or so.
I put forward that we have an official public holiday in Australia to celebrate 🍾 Ausmusic Day. It could be a long weekend sometime in Spring or Sunmer. The government could finance a series of outdoor concerts for people to attend, with Australian musicians and performers playing at the concerts at such venues as the Myer Music Bowl, here in Melbourne and the steps of the Oprah House in Sydney. It could be one huge nationwide barbecue or picnic to celebrate 🍾 just what wonderful music comes from 🇦🇺 Australia. It could be a huge tourism draw card, with people from overseas coming to Australia for these concerts.
As a music lover, this would be one public holiday that I would eagerly celebrate 🍾.
